Humanitarian Relief
Supporting dignified responses to urgent human needs, guided by local context and responsible use of resources.
Middle Juba Relief and Sustainability Organization
MJRSO is a U.S.-based public charity supporting vulnerable communities in Gedo, Middle Juba, and Lower Juba, Somalia. We work to connect urgent humanitarian relief with practical, community-informed pathways toward long-term resilience.
Why MJRSO exists
Communities facing hardship need more than short-term attention. They need support that protects dignity, responds to immediate needs, respects local knowledge, and strengthens the ability of families and communities to move forward.
MJRSO was established to help bridge humanitarian relief and sustainable development for communities across southern Somalia.
Our focus
Our mission focuses on communities in Gedo, Middle Juba, and Lower Juba—regions connected by shared histories, local knowledge, and the determination of people working toward safer and more sustainable futures.

Community-rooted leadership
MJRSO is led by Muhidin Libah, a Somali Bantu community leader whose personal journey from southern Somalia and a refugee camp in Kenya to community leadership in the United States informs a deep commitment to dignity, food security, and community-led solutions.
